Section 02-009  Appointment of Board Treasurer
A Treasurer of the Board shall be appointed annually.  The Treasurer shall be bonded in an amount to be determined annually by the Board. The cost shall be defrayed by the Board.  The Treasurer shall receive compensation as fixed by the Board.  The Treasurer shall not be a member of the Board and shall not be the same person as the Superintendent of Schools or the Clerk.  The Treasurer shall deposit all moneys of the school district in accordance with the provisions of Chapter 9, Article 14, of Kansas Statutes Annotated.  Each month the Treasurer shall prepare a written report of the finances of the school district, and shall prepare such other reports as are required by the Board or by law.
