Section 04-012  Voting
Voting shall be done by voice vote, show of hands or paper ballot (if the ballots are signed and maintained with meeting minutes) and should be observable by the public and recordable by the BOE Clerk.  The vote or failure to vote by each member shall be recorded in the minutes.  When any member abstains from voting, that vote shall be counted as having voted against the motion or resolution in question.  If a Board member announces a conflict of interest with regard to the issue in question, the member may leave the meeting before the discussion and until the vote on the issue is concluded and the member's vote will not count as having been cast.
