Section 06-018  National or Out-of-State Conference Attendance
This policy shall apply to the Assistant Superintendent who shall hold a valid Kansas administrator's certificate.

The Assistant Superintendent shall be eligible to attend an approved national or out-of-state conference.  The Assistant Superintendent shall not be eligible to attend a national conference more often than once every four (4) years, unless this time frame is waived by the BOE for extenuating circumstances.

Each request under this policy shall be submitted in writing to the Board of Education, and each request shall be considered on an individual basis.

The Assistant Superintendent shall not be eligible to attend an approved national or out-of-state conference until he/she has successfully completed one full year in the USD 263 School System.

Financial allowances for attendance at approved national or out-of-state conferences shall be set by the Board of Education, and shall be determined at the time of approval of each individual request.
