Section 06-056  National or Out-of-State Conference Attendance
This policy shall apply to all USD 263 Principals who hold a valid Kansas administrator's certificate.

The Principals shall be eligible to attend an approved national or out-of-state conference, on a rotating basis.  No Principal shall be eligible to attend a national conference more often than once every four (4) years, with attendance at such conferences being limited to not more than two (2) Principals in any given year.

Each request under this policy shall be submitted in writing to the Board of Education, and each request shall be considered on an individual basis.

No Principal shall be eligible to attend an approved national or out-of-state conference until he/she has successfully completed one full year in the USD 263 school system.

Financial allowances for attendance at approved national or out-of-state conferences shall be set by the Board of Education, and shall be determined at the time of approval of each individual request.
