Requests by individuals, clubs, organizations, etc., who reside outside the boundaries of USD 263, to involve students in fund raising activities, shall be considered on an individual basis.  Examples of these types of requests would be requests by groups such as the Heart Fund, the Cancer Fund, the MS and MD Associations, Pizza Hut, etc. for students to be involved in activities such as Read-a-Thons, Walk-a-Thons, monetary donations, etc.  These requests would be considered based on such factors as educational value, humanitarian value, loss of class time, etc.  All such requests would have to be approved in advance by the building Principal and the Superintendent of Schools.  Guidelines for fund raising activities which are approved at the individual building level are contained in the handbooks of the respective schools.
