1. How will you understand and apply media, technique, and processes?
 
Introduce or build upon the ability to apply media, techniques, and processes with sufficient skill, confidence, and sensitivity that students' intentions are carried out in their art works. (1.1)

Introduce or build upon the ability to conceive, interpret, and create a work of art that demonstrates an understanding of how the communication of their ideas relate to the media, techniques, and processes. (1.2)
 
-The students will produce works of art that demonstrate control of a variety of media, techniques, and processes by: (1.1.1)
a. creating drawings that emphasize how contrast between dark and light influence the effect of a work.
b. use a computer to produce an advertisement, book cover, or CD jacket.
c. utilize color theory with different mediums.
d. produce a ceramic project that demonstrates proficiency in hand building and/or sculpture techniques.
-Analyze the effective use of media, techniques, and processes in relationship to ideas communicated. (1.2.2)
a. create a work which uses texture and patterns to communicate a message.
-Collaborate with others to organize an exhibition by: (1.2.4)
