TECHNOLOGY-Web Page

Course Description
This course is designed to introduce students to appropriate uses of the internet for research, marketing, entertainment, productivity for both personal and professional use, and developing skills necessary for success in today’s job market.  The emphasis will be to educate on designing a web page using HTML and FrontPage.

Enrollment is for students in grades 11-12 who completed Word Processing and either Computer Applications I or Computer Concepts I.

Course Length
95 hours (one 51 minute class per day for 18 weeks)

Course Outcomes

  1. The student will learn basic internet skills including information search and retrieval.
  2. The student will learn HTML coding as a coding source for creating web pages.
  3. The student will learn how to create and use various forms of graphics for web page use.
  4. The student will learn how to use and develop various styles of web pages.
  5. The student will develop appropriate animations to apply to web pages.
  6. The student will develop skills necessary for successful web page management.
  7. The student will learn appropriate usage for web sites and pages.
  8. The student will use commercial software (FrontPage) for web-page production and design.
  1. The student will utilize many of the latest computer technologies.
