Interim Superintendent Announced for 2009-2010

The Board of Education is pleased to announce that Dr. Bradley Rahe was unanimously elected to be interim Superintendent for the 2009-2010 school year. Dr. Rahe previously served as Superintendent of Schools for Holton USD 336 from 2002-2006 and served in the same capacity in Humboldt USD 258 school district from 1999-2002. Dr. Rahe has served as middle school principal and began his education career as a language arts teacher in Great Bend.
The Board of Education, with the assistance of the Kansas Association of School Boards, selected Dr. Rahe after an extensive search that resulted in five candidates that were interviewed this past Saturday. He will serve as interim superintendent, dedicated to technological innovations, curriculum review, and leadership across the district.
Dr. Rahe is a Kansas native. He graduated from Independence Community College, Ottawa University, Fort Hays State, and Pittsburg State. He obtained his doctoral degree from Oklahoma State University in 1997.
