Speech Language Pathologist of the Year

Pam A Meitl, Certified Speech and Language Pathologist with the Mulvane - USD 263, was awarded the Speech-Language Pathologist of the Year award from the Kansas Speech-Language-Hearing Association (KSHA) during their annual convention. The award is given each year to a Speech Pathologist exhibiting the highest standards in providing speech and language services, as well as contributions to the association.
Pam Meitl is distinguished for her years of dedication to the field
of speech therapy. She excels in the design and implementation of
individualized speech and language programs for the students she
serves. Pam is able to assist a wide variety of students with
various speech and language needs. She has been instrumental in
developing appropriate speech-language programming and improving
services to students at the middle school and high school. She has
presented on various topics at conventions, written articles for
the state newsletter and serves on numerous committees.
Mr. Don Pennington, Director Special Education for the district,
shared that “Ms. Meitl is a model advocate for students and is one
of the most technically sound SLP’s that I have worked with over my
career.” Ms. Meitl has worked for the district for 8 years.
