The Kansas State Department of Education released Standard of Excellence awards for the 2010-11 school year. These awards are given to schools that have the majority of students scoring above average in the advanced and exemplary levels on the state assessments which are administered yearly in grades 3-8 and 11. The following schools and grades are recognized with the Standard of Excellence:

Munson Primary School does not administer any state assessment and therefore isn’t recognized for this award; however, they are certainly a contributing factor in the success of our students. Mulvane High School can only receive building wide recognition because they are evaluated using state assessments for only one grade level.
