MGS is Getting Their 1st Buddy Bench!
Mulvane High School Carpentry students are working on building their first “Buddy Bench” for the Mulvane Grade School. Janet Adamson, a school volunteer and grandparent, initiated the idea. Once the bench is completed, Janet’s School Family at Mulvane Grade School will paint the bench and install it on the playground, where students who need a friend can go and sit. They plan on creating a video that will help educate students about the purpose of the Buddy Bench and understand what students can do when someone is sitting on the bench. As a school community, we are grateful for the generosity of MHS students, Janet Adamson, and the volunteers that are making the buddy benches possible!
