MGS 4th Graders Create Mega Creatures!

Fourth grade is doing a science project that involves ecosystems and animal adaptations. They have thoroughly discussed different animal adaptations and how these features help the animal to thrive in their ecosystem. The students wanted to take it one step further; they are creating a Mega Creature!

Each mega creature is a creation formed by combining different animal adaptations from animals inside a specific ecosystem. The students are able to pick which ecosystem they would like, as well as, which animal adaptations they would like to combine to create their Mega Creature. The students will draw and name their mega creature inside their ecosystem. They will then describe the reasons why they chose different adaptations and how those features will help their animal succeed in their environment. What an exciting time in 4th Grade Science!
