Links to Reading Counts Quiz Lists
By clicking on the links below, you will find information about the quizzes available at Mulvane Grade School. The lists are arranged in two ways: by book title, and by lexile. As students and their families utilize our quiz lists to choose reading materials, they are urged to remember some important points:
- Although a book may be at a child's lexile readability level, considerations such as subject difficulty, the student's background knowledge, and the student's maturity may place the conceptual premise of a book outside of the appropriate range of reading material for a particular student. Therefore, it is important for parents to be aware of the concepts found in a particular book, especially at the higher lexile levels.
- Some titles on the list do not have accompanying lexile levels. These selections have either related teacher-created quizzes available for students or they are part of our reading series anthology and leveled books. Some of these titles may be found at www.lexile.com if you wish to use that data base to discover the lexile level on a selection your child has chosen.
We here at Mulvane Grade School hope that these lists are helpful to our families. Please keep in mind--these are large databases and may take a while to load.
