20 State Qualifiers
96 medals

We are on course to break the 100 medals mark 

on March 30th when we go to Augusta.

2010 Forensics Results

Friday, Feb. 5 - El Dorado Student Congress

Jake - 4th place, Novice House

2nd place Team Sweepstakes

Saturday, Feb. 6 - El Dorado Forensics Tournament

Levi  - 1st place, Poetry (State Qualification)

Allyson & Amanda  - 4th place, Duet Acting

Levi  - 4th place, Dramatic Interpretation

Allyson  & Amanda  - 4th place, Improvised Duet Acting

Levi  - 4th place, Impromptu Speaking

We ended up placing 4th in team sweepstakes out of 21 schools.

Congratulations to the MHS Forensics Team for their success at the Wichita East Student Congress tournament and Wellington Forensics Tournament over the weekend.  Individual placements in Student Congress were:  Levi – 3^rd place in varsity senate, Maeghan – 4^th place in novice house 1, Alicia – 3^rd place in novice house 2 and Levi – elected presiding officer of varsity senate.  Individual placements at Wellington were:  Maeghan – 3^rd place in prose, Jessica – 4^th place in poetry, Nathan – 2^nd place in poetry, Josh – 1^st place in poetry, Autumn – 2^nd place in humorous interp., Maeghan 1^st place in humorous interp., Allyson and Amanda – 1^st place in improvised duet acting, Kara and Reegan – 5^th place in duet acting, Allyson and Amanda – 1^st place in duet acting, Jake – 2^nd place in informative speaking and Levi taking 2^nd in dramatic interp., and 1^st in extemporaneous speaking.  The team as a whole took 1^st place in team sweepstakes and had 10 qualifications to the state tournament. 

Congratulations to the MHS Forensics Team.  Over the weekend, Forensics competed at the Valley Center Student Congress Tournament and Derby Forensics tournament.  Individual placements were :  Autumn 6^th place in novice house 1, Alex 6^th place in prose , Maeghan 5^th place in prose, Michelle 2^nd place in prose qualifying for state, Josh 3^rd place in poetry, Rylee 2^nd place in poetry qualifying for state, Maeghan 2^nd place in humorous interpretation, Nick 1st place in humorous interpretation qualifying for state, Taylor 4th place in dramatic interpretation, Landon and Alex 5^th in duet acting and Rose and Autumn 4^th place in duet acting.  The team took 3^rd place in team sweepstakes.

Congratulations to the MHS Forensics Team.  Yesterday the team competed at the Belle Plaine invitational.  Individual placements were:  Alex 6^th place in prose, Kara 4^th place in prose, Maeghan 3^rd place in prose, Nathan 5^th place in poetry, Josh 4^th place in poetry, Rylee 2^nd place in poetry, Autumn 6^th place in humorous interp, Maeghan 5^th place in humorous interp, Jake 4^th place in humorous interp, Taylor 3^rd place in dramatic interp and Nathan and Rylee 2^nd place in improvised duet acting.  The team took 2^nd place in team sweepstakes.

Congratulations to the MHS Forensics team.  The team competed at the Goddard Student Congress Tournament on Friday and Forensics Tournament on Saturday.  Individual placements were:  Alicia 1^st place in novice house 3, Seth 5^th place in prose, Maeghan 4^th place in prose, Nick 3^rd place in prose qualifying for state, Rylee 4^th place in poetry, Nick 5^th place in humorous interpretation, Maeghan 3^rd place in humorous interpretation and Allyson and Amanda 1^st place in duet acting.  The team took 2^nd place in Team Sweepstakes.

Congratulations to the MHS Forensics Team.  The team competed at Wichita Heights on Monday.  Individual placements were:  Patrick 1^st in prose, Rylee 3^rd in poetry, Nathan 4^th in poetry, Jake 6^th in humorous interp., Autumn and Rose 5^th in duo, Patrick and Jeremy 3^rd in due, Landon and Alex 2^nd in due and Levi 4^th in DI.

Congratulations to the MHS Forensics Team.  The team competed at the Campus Invitational on March 13^th.  Individual placements were Levi 2^nd in poetry, Patrick 7^th in prose, Michelle 5^th in prose, Maeghan 2^nd in humorous interp and Jeremy and Patrick 2^nd in duet acting qualifying for state.

Congratulations to the MHS Forensics Team.  Last night the team competed at the Circle High School Invitational.  Individual placements were:  Nathan 6^th in prose, Patrick 3^rd in prose, Rylee 5^th in poetry, Thomas 4^th in humorous interp, Kara and Reegan 3^rd in duet acting, Patrick and Jeremy 1^st in duet acting , Seth 6^th in dramatic interp, Levi 4^th in dramatic interp and Taylor 1^st in dramatic interp qualifying for state.

Congratulations to the MHS Forensics Team.  The team competed at the Maize Student Congress Tournament on Friday and Maize Forensics Invitational on Saturday.  Individual placements were:  Rose 5^th in novice house, Jake 2^nd in novice house,  Levi 6^th in international extemp, Allyson and Amanda 3^rd  in duo, Brandon 5^th in humorous interp, Taylor 6^th in dramatic interp and Levi 1^st in dramatic interp.  The team took 3^rd place in team sweepstakes.

Congratulations to the MHS Forensics Team.  The team competed at the Augusta Invitational yesterday afternoon.  Individual placements were:  Kara and Reegan 5^th in duet acting, Landon and Alex 3^rd in duet acting, Levi 4^th in dramatic interp, Allyson and Amanda 4^th in duo, Rylee 3^rd in poetry, Nathan 1^st in poetry, Autumn 3^rd in humorous interp, Nathan 4^th in prose qualifying for state, Alex 3^rd in prose qualifying for state and Thomas 1^st in humorous interp qualifying for state.  The team placed 1^st in team sweepstakes.
