Social Studies - review 2nd quarter schedule, finish vocab cards from Friday. Begin reading pgs. 48-52 - focus:Egyptian rulers and common people's commitment to obedience, pyramids, religion.
Language Arts - Silent reading - continue working on figure of speech flip book, personification, simile, metaphor.
Tuesday -
Social Studies - continue reading and discussion of pgs 48-52, assess understanding through oral questioning. Assign 2-2 vocab and comprehension review. Due Wed
Language Arts - finish flip book, idiom, analogy, onomatopoeia. DOL - "The Stone" vocab and comprehension assignment due Wednesday
Wednesday
Social Studies - homework due - group students for partner review of vocab and study guide completion.
Language Arts - Element notepad "The Stone" complete together as direct instruction. Focus - theme, figures of speech, conflict.
Thursday
Social Studies - end of quarter reading counts celebration
Language Arts - Computer Lab formative test, end of story quiz, Social Studies quiz, silent reading if time permits.
Friday
Social Studies - NO SCHOOL CONFERENCES
