Now May Be Last Chance for $3.8 Million State Aid
Kansas Governor Sam Brownback plans to propose legislation to end state aid for future bond issues after July 1, 2012. State Aid to assist local school districts with additional assistance from Topeka to help retire a voted bond issue was implemented by law in 1992. The State provides a school district with a percentage of both the principal and interest on the bonds based on the District’s tax base per pupil as compared to all other Kansas school districts. Hazardous Weather Information
The winter season is upon us, and with it comes the possibility of inclement weather affecting school opening. We understand that our decision to open or close schools in bad weather has a big impact on families. The safety and security of our students and staff is our highest priority. The decision to close schools is based on the best information available at the time the decision is made. Helping Mulvane Students
Ever wonder how you can make a contribution to the school district, or to a particular school? USD 263 has a children’s fund that is used to help buy school supplies for students in need. The fund also helps with clothing, shoes, coats and other items all year long. You can make a donation at any school or at the district office. read more
