Mrs. Andrea Palmer, Coordinator of Special Services and Communications

I am excited to begin another year as the Coordinator of Special Services and Communcations for Mulvane Public Schools.  I am grateful to work with many great educators as we strive to accelerate teaching and learning in USD 263.  I graduated from Wichita State University with my Bachelor’s Degree in Elementary Education.  I had the opportunity to teach in the elementary setting in Wichita.  During this time, I received an endorsement in English as a Second Language from Newman University, and a Master’s Degree in Educational Leadership from Wichita State University.  I stepped out of the classroom to mentor new and veteran teachers for six years.  Then, I led the New Teacher Mentoring and Induction Program in Wichita and provided professional learning for teachers across the district.   In 2019, I completed studies at Wichita State University and obtained my District Level License. In Mulvane my main responsibilities are new teacher mentoring, professional learning, curriculum resources, behavior support, instructional coaching, 504s, and general education interventions.

A little bit about my family:

My husband, Gary Palmer, graduated from Mulvane High School and is an inspector at Spirit AeroSystems.  We have lived in Mulvane for 1o years and have twin boys, Kaden and Keaton, who attend school in Mulvane. I also have two older step-children Aaron and Kirsten.  Aaron is a paramedic for the Mulvane Emergency Services.  He lives in Mulvane with his wife, Elizabeth and her son Isaac.  Kirsten lives in Wichita with her husband Reece their daughter Haddie.  Kirsten is a Marriage and Family Therapist and currently works at South High School in Wichita as a Mental Health Liaison.  My family keeps me busy but in my spare time I enjoy cheering on the Wichita State University Basketball team!

I love living and working in Mulvane and I am proud to be a Wildcat!
