Mr. Hansen's Homepage
5th Grade
Welcome! My name is Joshua Hansen and this is my 6th year teaching in the Mulvane School District. I earned my Bachelor's of Science degree from Pittsburg State University in December of 2013.
Science:
We're using a great science textbook from McGraw-Hill. It's a mixture of lab work and work with the textbook. All materials are available for student use online as well as in print. The website is www.connected.mcgraw-hill.com. The student usernames and passwords should be written in the students' agendas. This allows the students access to their entire book and all related print material, including lab sheets, outlines and vocabulary pages. In addition, students can also play games, complete online e-journal entries and watch e-reviews of each lesson.
Math:
We will be using the Go Math! series from Houghton Mifflin Harcourt. Go Math uses educational technology with modern content, dynamic interactives, and a variety of instructional videos that will engage students at appropriate levels of depth. Our Math textbook is also available online! Like the science text, it provides the entire book and all print materials related to each chapter and lesson. The student usernames and passwords should be written in the students' agendas.
