Welcome to Mrs. Colvin's First Grade Class!
I am so excited to be working with you and your student this year! I have a bachelor's degree in Elementary Education and a Master of Arts in Education, as well as a bachelor's and master's in Communication. I have previously taught in Wichita and Derby public schools, but I am happy to be teaching back home in Mulvane.
First grade is one of my favorite grades because we get to take those foundational skills we started building in kindergarten and really take off in reading, writing, and math. I also like to use STEM and other exploration activities to help build upon students' natural curiosity about the world around them.
