National Honor Society (NHS) is a nationally affiliated organization to  which a select group of juniors and seniors will be invited to join at Mulvane High School.  Criteria for membership include the following:

Scholarship: To be eligible for membership, juniors and seniors must have a minimum non-weighted cumulative grade point average (GPA) of 3.500.

Leadership: Members must display evidence of leadership in school as well as in the community.

Service: Members must display evidence of service to the school and community.

Character: Members must display characteristics such as honesty, responsibility, and respectfulness of the school rules and the laws of the community.

All four criteria are of equal importance.  Induction of new members occurs during the fall semester.  To even be eligible for membership in NHS is an honor.  To be selected is a sign of excellence as a student and as an individual.
