Welcome!
By Debbie White
Hi! My name is Debbie White, and I love teaching Munson students in the library! This is my ninth year as the teacher-librarian at Munson Primary School.♥ I have the additional privilege of working with the students and staff at Mulvane High School for our third year. The first half of the week I start out at Munson, where I'm taller than most of the students. Then I move to the high school the last half of the week, where the students are all taller than me.
I am a graduate of Derby High School, Kansas State University (B.S.), and Friends University (M.A.). I received my K-12 media specialist certification from Wichita State University. Currently, I am working on my school leadership endorsement through Baker University.
Before teaching in Mulvane, I taught kindergarten for 1 year, second grade for 3 years, third grade for 4 years, and 1 year at a non-graded school--all in Derby at Derby Hills Elementary School, El Paso Elementary School, and Carlton Learning Center.
Munson kiddoes and I have a wonderful time together in our school library! I get to see each class at least once a week. We learn various skills and make connections with our library learning to what's happening in their classrooms and in the world around us.
I'd love to meet you...show you our library...help you find the resource you need. Please come on in to visit. I'm looking forward to seeing you!
