Jan. 18 Superintendent Interview

George Leary will be interviewing for the position of Superintendent with the Board of Education on the evening of January 18, 2018.

George is one of the six candidates that the USD 263 board of education will be interviewing.  Candidates were selected for interviews based on their fit with the desired characteristics that were developed with input from focus groups that were utilized throughout the search process.

George is currently serving as the Superintendent of Schools in USD 423, Moundridge Kansas.  He is in his 3rd year in that position.  Previously, George served as a Middle School Principal for 20 years in USD 373 Newton Public Schools.

                11:30 a.m.-12:30 p.m.     Meet with district office staff and district administration

                12:30 p.m.-2:00 p.m.       Tour of district facilities and community

                2:00 p.m.-2:30 p.m.         Meet with community leaders

                2:30 p.m.-2:45 p.m.         Break

                2:45 p.m.-3:30 p.m.         Meet with the Superintendent

                3:30 p.m.-3:45 p.m.         Meet with the MEA President

                3:45 p.m.-4:30 p.m.         Reception with general public and district staff

                4:30 p.m-5:30 p.m.          Break

                5:30 p.m.-6:00 p.m.         Light dinner with board of education

                6:00 p.m.-8:00 p.m.         Formal interview with the board of education conducted in executive session
