Attention NJHS Candidates! You should have received an email from Mrs. Parrott to let you know if you were accepted into the NJHS. Thank you to all that applied this year and remember that if you didn’t make it, we encourage you to try again next year.
All new and current members of NJHS will have a meeting in the Commons after announcements tomorrow, Thursday, October 28th, to talk about the induction ceremony that will be held on Friday, November 5th.
From Mrs. LeClair: Attention video markers!! RAD is having a video contest to celebrate Red Ribbon Week. Do you like to create videos, if so this contest is for you. Create a 1-2 minute video, only using music, pictures, and text to demonstrate the effects drugs have on the community, families, schools, or people. Use the WeVideo app on your Chromebook to make your video. The deadline for turning in your video is Thursday, October 28th! There are prizes for each grade level.
From Mrs. LeClair: Attention MMS Students! Next Week is Red Ribbon Week. This year’s theme is “Drug Free Looks Like Me! In celebration of this event, we will be having a Spirit Week! The theme and dress us days are as follows:
Tuesday- “Give drugs the BOOT!”—Wear your favorite western apparel
Wednesday—“I have the power to be drug free!—Dress up as your favorite superhero
Thursday—“Drug free looks like me!—wear a RAD shirt or Red and white clothing
Friday—“Say BOO to drugs!—wear your Halloween Costume
From Tech Dept: MMS students please make sure you have your chrome-books secured in its case at all times including loaner Chrome-books. We have had a high number of broken screens. Your family is charged for the repairs.
From the Health Room: If you have any medications or immunizations please turn them into the health room.
From the Office: Students & Staff: Please continue to leave backpacks in your lockers the whole school day. They should not be taken to any class.
From the Office: Students-- your cell phones need to remain in your lockers and please place on silent. Also, a reminder no hats or hoodies may be worn while in the school building.
We are excited to announce our new anonymous reporting system to report illegal activity, school safety concerns, bullying, vandalism, etc. This Speak Up anonymous reporting system is available to us through a partnership with Mulvane Public School's Board of Education, the Mulvane Police Department and the Sedgwick County Crime-stoppers Commission.
Students, parents, and community members may report a variety of school safety concerns anonymously in three different ways:
- Using the P3 Tips app which is available on all student Chromebooks in their Chromebook Apps (also available for download in the Google Play Store and Apple Store)
