Joshua Nearhood, Director of Technology

Hello, my name is Joshua Nearhood. I am an accomplished technology leader with over 15 years of experience in driving digital transformation and innovation within diverse industries. Currently serving as the Director of Technology at USD 263 Mulvane Schools, I oversee the strategic direction and implementation of technology initiatives that enhance operational efficiency.

Throughout my career, I have demonstrated a keen ability to align technology solutions with organizational goals, delivering impactful results in areas such as infrastructure optimization, cloud computing, cybersecurity, and digital strategy. My leadership is characterized by a proactive approach to identifying and leveraging emerging technologies to maintain a competitive edge.

Prior to joining USD 263, I have held key leadership roles where I successfully led cross-functional teams through complex IT projects, from conceptualization to execution. My strong technical expertise, combined with effective communication skills, enables me to bridge the gap between technical complexities and district objectives, fostering collaboration and driving consensus across departments.

I hold a degree in Computer Science from Vatterott College, and continue to stay alongside of industry trends through continuous learning and professional development. I am also passionate about leveraging technology as a catalyst for organizational success, championing a culture of innovation and excellence within my team.

Outside of work, I enjoy the great outdoors, spending time with family, vintage electronics,and exploring new technologies.
