HELLO!!!

Hello!  I am Kimberly Downs. I teach 7th & 8th Grade Science at the middle school.

This will be my 23rd year of teaching.  I previously taught at the elementary level for 18 years in Derby, and this will be my 5th year at Mulvane Middle School teaching my first major choice and love:  SCIENCE!!!!

I received my Bachelor’s of Science in Elementary Education as well as my Master’s of Science in Administration at Fort Hays State University.  I also have my ESOL endorsement.

I live out in the country in Mulvane, and have been married to my wonderful husband, Ben, for 21 years.  We have 3 amazing children.  India is at her second year of college (KCKCC), Breken is a Junior, and McKynzie is a 6th grader in Mulvane.

At the middle school, I am also the Head 8th Grade Volleyball Coach, Assistant 8th Grade Girls Basketball Coach, Yearbook Adviser, NJHS Adviser, ESOL Case Manager, and part of the Autism District Team.
